The original Elmer story, first published in 1989, introduces us to the now well-loved patchwork elephant and celebrates being different! This classic picture book, with it’s vibrant colour and cheeky humour, is a nursery favourite all around the world.

About Storyteller: Rebecca Jo-Rushdy

A stylish young mum to two girls, Rebecca Jo-Rushdy is the founder of BaoBae.com, a one-stop-gift-shop for mothers and babies that houses dozens of leading retailers and brands under one virtual roof. Born in Los Angeles to Chinese parents and raised in Japan, Hong Kong and Shanghai, Rebecca is a graduate of the prestigious Parson School of Design in New York. Her portfolio apart from entrepreneurial endeavours extends to Public Relations and Event Management consultancy. She’s an active advocate and volunteer at Dignity for Children, a non-governmental organisation that provides holistic care and education for urban poor children in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
